For valentines, we made the girls Pink waffles. They were so impressed :)
We used the basic bisquick recipe, added a few pecans, and red food coloring and we had a festive treat!
I know it seems like I am a huge lover of banana nut- breads, muffins, waffles.
You want to know a secret? I'm really not. I just always have bananas on stock since the girls love them, which means I often have a couple leftover that I need to quickly use to prevent having to trash them.
So, here is the banana nut waffle recipe. Pretty darn good!
2 cups Bisquick
2 medium mashed bananas
2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 T oil
1 egg
Mix all and put 2/3 cup mixture into waffle iron. (Don't be deceived my the pic of the waffle above. That was my test run and I only used 1/2 cup of the mixture. Double it ((to 2/3 cup)) for the perfect thickeness!) Close lid and wait on your little light to tell you when it is ready.
Throw a few scrambled eggs and bacon on your plate and you can call it a meal.
Works great for the nights we do breakfast for supper!
